Initially, my affiliation in real estate was with brokerages that are called “traditional”, the type that has an office every few miles throughout the area. Real estate beckoned to me when I retired from a full career with IBM. Having moved many times around the country, I was always interested in the different way real estate is conducted in different jurisdictions. That is evident in the local area where laws, regulations, forms, and customs differ not only between Virginia, DC, and Maryland, but also from county to county, and even city to city within the same county.

The challenge of selling, moving, and buying whether across town, or state to state, is much too familiar to me personally. However, those experiences provide a framework for me to work with empathy and a high level of support to each client.
